From my seat in our family room I can see the Humming
Bird feeder and the hanging tube with oiler seeds. We have a fine pair of
hummers who come several times a day. The male really enjoys himself, drinking
awhile, hovering in delight and drinking again.
Today I noticed that our flock of Gold Finch have been
very hungry. I have counted at least three birds taking at least sixty seeds
each! Other birds, such as Chickadees and House Finch take eight to twelve. Any
insight?
